About Us
Bogged down by the trials and tribulations of North American life, she developed a large case of burnout from 60+ hour workweeks. With changing goals and values, she liquidated assets and headed for the land of paradise to make her dreams come true. Her family chose Roatan because of its beauty, safety, quietness, and focus on the family. Now, with seven years of Island living under her belt, Marci helps others realize their dreams. Marci joined Re/Max Bay Islands as office manager in December of 2000. She then decided to step into the sales arena in 2001. In April of 2004 she opened her own Brokerage office, ABOUT ROATAN REAL ESTATE. Marci saw a need for a more full service company to help her clients with all their investment and relocation hurdles, not just selling them a piece of real estate. Her vision is to help her clients enjoy a safe and pleasant purchasing experience. She has boundless energy and enthusiasm, focusing totally on her clients' needs. Marci often says, "If there is one thing I have learned about buying and selling real estate in a foreign county it is the team you have working for you that makes paradise a reality."
For his "first" retirement, he sailed all over the world for 7 years searching for his perfect island. Once he found Roatan, he knew he had found it. Alex and his wife, Kelly, purchased a small island house three years ago which is still a work in progress. Kelly is a "recovering" NY real estate attorney who now mediates eBay disputes on the internet. Our company policy is to help our clients see all of the options available from all agents and agencies. In order to remain impartial Alex does not accept any listings so he can concentrate on helping our clients find their perfect home or home site. His knowledge of the island, construction and island ways, make him an invaluable resource. He is focused on helping you "SEE IT ALL" so you can make the most informed decision.

Marci arrived on Roatan with her family, her parents, and brother in December 1999. Along with Marci's two daughters they all live on the island and love every minute of it.
Alex Poirier is our Buyer's Agent. He spent 20 years in the automotive industry. During that time he was involved with site selection and construction of several dealerships from the ground up. He also ran a dealership in Saudi Arabia, building 5 satellite dealerships there. His latest assignment was as a consultant to Ford Dealers all over the US and Canada helping them improve their Customer Satisfaction Indexes. He continues to focus on our client's needs in every situation.
