From there a few steps up you come to a glassed (insulated, hurricane proof, UV coated) in area presently used as a 2nd study, sitting area. This area connects to the entertainment room with a wet bar, the (2nd) guest bedroom and a full bathroom. Off the entertainment room is an ocean facing terrace.
All rooms have Hunter and/or Animation ceiling fans. All bedrooms have A/C.
The ground floor of this part of the house is the large 2-car garage. On the north side of the garage, facing the garden and the ocean, there is an outdoor kitchen ( BBQ, 2 sinks etc, also great for washing dive gear).
Outside you will find the infinity edge pool with large terraces as well as a formal palapa. In the garden overlooking the Caribbean sea there is a 2nd large palapa with a dining room table etc. as well as a patio great for sunset viewing, facing west.
The south garden contains many fruit trees like mango, Malayan apple, bananas, orange-, grapefruit-, lime- and pomegranate trees.
The house has 2 large cisterns, 18,000 and 15,000 gallons, as well as a pool room under the deck and a 11.5 Kw sound insulated diesel generator. The electricity system is hooked up to the island (RECO) electricity net plus 2 solar systems: 1 operating the pool, the other one consisting of 10 solar panels supplying electricity back into the net thus reducing the RECO electricity bill. Most windows in the house have aluminum roll shutters, electrically operated.
Furniture and decorations from all parts of the world. A lifetime collection, almost all included.
Off the entrance to the right is the wash kitchen, and off the wash kitchen are rooms for the water supply (water-pump, -heater, filter system), for the electrical system (110 V as well as a 220 V system for the aluminum roll shutters) and a large storage closet for the vacuum cleaner, brooms, luggage etc.
The lot size is 3226.4 square meters (app. 0.8. acres), the north side is all ocean front.
The ocean front side has extensive rock retaining walls all along the water, with a dock and a water front shed for kayak, windsurf board etc. storage (with water and electricity). Concrete stairs lead from the dining room deck to the dock down by the water. Half way is a covered outside shower.
