Where is Palmetto Bay, Roatan?
Palmetto Bay, is on the north side of the island of Roatan, the largest of the three islands of the Bay Islands of Honduras in the Caribbean, about 40 miles north of the mainland.

The community of Palmetto Bay has many homes that are available as temporary rentals.
Where should I eat?
There is a local craft brewery located right outside the entrance to Palmetto Bay, Roatan Island Brewing Company, which also features a menu of pub-type food. It is open daily except Monday and Tuesday. The Cove is a restaurant located inside Palmetto Bay that offers many gourmet options, including vegetarian fare and is open seven days a week.
How do I get around?
The Island is easy to navigate by car, but please drive the roads in daylight before you drive them at night. Much of the road from French Harbour to Palmetto Bay is newly paved, but there are still areas of dirt roads which must be navigated carefully.
Things to do?
Pristine Bay is a short drive from the Black Pearl Golf Club in Palmetto Bay. The Black Pearl is a Pete Dye-designed 18-hole golf course with ocean views along the course. Scuba Roatan (scubaroatan.com) offers diving, certification and snorkeling in Palmetto Bay. The community is a 4-mile drive from groceries and gas stations in French Harbour.
