Although Utila is the smallest of the three Bay Islands, they have a huge presence that shines every year during its annual Carnival. Utila carnival is one of the most talked about events on the entire Bay Islands.  This year the planning committee foresees an even better year with the support received from volunteers and local businesses. The Vice President of the planning committee, Vanessa Ramsay said “We want to nourish, grow and lift our community in all main areas so at the end of the year we really have something to celebrate, the growth of our beautiful island we call home.”

One of the highlights of the weekend is a concert with Jamaican reggae singer Duane Stephenson. He will be performing some of his greatest hits like “Fool for you” and “August Town.” If you’re anywhere on the Bay Islands that weekend, don’t forget to mark your calendars and join the fun.
